This was made for a Forum Challenge .. We were given a template, and asked to replicate it .. 

Here is my entry .. 

Bunting Freebie

Tonight, I've been messing about making some Bunting .. They can be used on a Scrapbook Page, or on a Card ..

I've been Cuttlebugging ..

.. .. .. And I broke a 'B' Plate .. I searched & searched & searched for some replacements, & finally found some, but it certainly wasn't easy .. People, all over the place, were "out of stock" .. I'm wondering if they knew something which us ordinary users don't know ? ..

Anyway - here's my card .. The front of the card was CB'd, then I used an EK Border Punch to the top & the bottom .. Next I applied some colour to the raised bits of the embossing, using some Water Soluble Wax Pastels .. It was then lightly spritz with water, and patted dry with some kitchen roll .. I then glued some coloured thin card to the back of the front of the card ..

The label was made using the same EK Border Punch, then it was folded in half, and glued to the bottom of the front of the card ..

The inside of the card is a piece of 160gm white card .. I stamped the image, which was one from Polka-Doodles, Pen & Paper Circle, Issue 2 freebie (now out of stock), then sponged the rest of it, using a Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Dried Marigold) ..

A With Love Card

A friend, who had had a bereavement, needed a cheer-up card, so I made her this ..

It was done on the Cuttlebug, and painted with watercolour wax pastels - and lacquered .. Then mounted on some fancy paper, then put on an A5 card .. The corners were punched using a MS Corner Punch ..

Sorry, but the scanner doesn't show all the fancy punching ..

Jubilee in Mind

I was in a right Patriotic mood tonight .. :o) .. 

Blossom on the Bough

I found these individual flowers in a Scrap Kit & decided to put them together in a Cluster .. The square background to the Cluster, came about from a page of Paint Samples .. Each tiny square was a different colour (originally red, orange & fuscia pink) here transformed with a simple "colour" change .. 

The poem is from A.E. Houseman's "A Shropshire Lad" .. 

Splashing In The Rain

Seems, of late, that I'm always using Pink .. LOL .. Not intentional, I assure you, but pink, in this case, did lend itself to the photograph I was using - I picked out the colours from Lily's skirt .. I'll try and vary it for the next entry .. LOL .. 

This little girl lives in a country where they only get rain like this two or three times in a year, so when they had a thunderstorm, all the children, including Lily, thought it would be fun to go splashing around ..

I saw this image, and couldn't resist .. It's not of great quality, but I thought it would look okay on a sort-of vintage card (not that I'm all that good at vintage) ..

And I also made it into a ScrapPage - for a Challenge .. 

Tending the Sick

Aunt Rhoda (29) left England, all alone, in 1919, heading for America ..

During WWII, she had met a wounded soldier, who she had nursed back to health, & in so doing, had fallen in love ..

A few days after finally getting to California, via Ellis Island, Rhoda married her sweetheart ..

When she left England, she was a nurse and a masseur, and after further studying, & lots of hard work, she rose to the giddy heights of Chief of Physiotherapy at a Los Angelas Hospital ..

She had two children, a girl & a boy, and was known by the nickname of "Duchess" ..

She never saw England again ..

Two Scrapbook Pages

Here are two scrapbook pages that I created for a Forum Challenge ..

The "orange" one, was for a Challenge entitled, Scraplift; whereby you lifted a scrap-page made by someone else, and replicated it to your own design ..



And the "blue" one, was for a Challenge; whereby you were given 5 colours to work from ..

And here is my Scrap-Page .. The picture was taken in Bar Harbor, during a trip there, in 2009 ..

New Home Card

Two neighbours were on the move, so I made them this card for them ..

The Row of houses were printed out again, and decoupaged ..

Time I Started Posting Again

Over the past months, my mojo has been almost absent .. My passions in life have taken a battering, sinking me into the abyss of depression .. I've tried to keep-up; I've made Tags for peoples' birthdays & anniversaries, & even managed some cards for a few .. Christmas I mainly relied on cards from my stack, in fact, I didn't make one new one ..

However, of late, I have begun to delight in making memories; making Scrapbook pages .. I've even made some Kits of my own too .. Making them, had started to turn on a creative switch, somewhere in my recesses, only to lose it again when I fell victim to the dreadful coughing epidemic which seems to have affected such a lot of people ..

Now, three weeks on from that episode in my life, I have turned my thoughts to Scrapbooking once again ..

I entered, and won, two of allCrafts March Challenges, (not that I intended to be so greedy, and I must admit, I do feel a modicum of guilt doing so) ..

Anyway, here is the Card - for the Challenge Labelled "Gems" ..
